A few months ago, I blogged about how I love wallstickers. Well: got one myself now!
My apologies for the bad quality, but I took the pic with my phone and uploaded it to this blog directly! So now I also know how that works...
The shelf with some favorite photo´s and artwork was in my room allready, but the birds make it much more interestng to look at.
What do you think?

That is the cake I want!
This sounds a bit childish. But eversince I got my HTC Desire phone, I am addicted to this game I downloaded. It is called Angry Birds. And I love it. Since I discovered this silly game, I do not mind waiting for Joost soccergame to start on Saturday mornings:). It is such a funny game. If you’re a puzzle game lover you definitely owe it to yourself to check this one out. Anyway, a British guy named Mike Cooper made this wonderful birthday cake for his son. A playable Angry Birds cake! Wow. How nice. Take a look:

A week off
Just one more lesson this afternoon and then I have a whole week off. No lessons, no driving around from schools to private lessons at someone's house. I intend to prepare some new lessons, but also want to enjoy my week off. Usually, we go to Germany in February, to a nice holiday cottage. But Chris has to work (both at the printing office and at school as they have no holiday next week) so we're staying home. My little darling niece is coming for a sleep over and I want to read some more books and watch some movies. Like Inception. Have heard so much about it. But need to pick out a quiet moment for this movie as I am told that you really need to be focussed in order to understand it.
Anyway, I am looking forward to coming week and will start tomorrow with baking SCONES! Yummy. Following is a Haiku about the movie:
Dream within a dream
Itself in a bigger dream
I'm a bit confused.
Time is all messed up
An hour becomes a year
Slow-motion action.
You could be sleeping
but you wouldn't remember
Is this the real world?

Some of my favorite things in my house
Here are some favorite places/things in my own house. Some pieces of artwork I just fell in love with. Photo's in my hallway. My bed, where I read the most wonderful books. My cups, all from different brands, but all a joy to drink coffee or tea out. My shells which give me a summer feeling, even though the winter seems never to end here in Holland. My office, where new ideas are born. The piano on which a lot of special things have found a place, where we gather around now and then and make music and sing. Yep. I love these places in my home.

Stormy
Quite stormy weather outside at the moment. And not only outside, but also in my daily life. There are important choices to be made by my kids, Amber will be studying somewhere next year, which of the 3 studies will it be? Joost will go to seconday school: but which one? We have about 4 highschools in our neighbourhood. Two of them make a good chance, but which one suits his needs best?
Next week, Chris is starting his intern apprenticeship at a secondary school as Geography teacher for 2 days a week. Very exciting, but also a busy period till summer holidays. He'll work at the printing company as well, to maintain a bit of an income. I am starting coming week with 3 (!) new groups of children for Hokeypokeykids, so that will be busy as well.
Stormy. Not in a negative way. But still stormy it is! Time to enjoy some free time this sundayafternoon. Feel like some brownies or something...
